Drake has been sporting a new look lately, but there’s a reason.Drake has been showing off a baby Afro over the past few weeks, an unusual look for the Toronto native. But in a recent interview, Drizzy explained that he’s growing his hair out for an upcoming movie role, most likely for his role in the indie thriller ‘Arbitrage.’ “It’s partly for a role in a film that I’m doing, so I started it for that reason because I didn’t want to be in the movie looking the same, but then as it was growing, I realized how weird my head looks,” joked Drake in an interview. “I realized how weird-shaped my head is. And now, it looks a lot better because I have hair. So I think I’ll leave it like this fora little bit.” The former ‘Degrassi’ star has hinted at returning to the big screen over the past few years, most recently making headlines after announcing his involvement in ‘Arbitrage.’ The film, which also stars Al Pacino, Susan Sarandon and Eva Green, focuses on a hedge fund executive who makes a big mistake while trying to sell his company. Drake is also rumored to be scoring the flick. |

Via October’s Very Own: I am truly enjoying my life right now. Its been so long since I have wrote anything on here because I feel like for a while I was trying to digest it all and save it for the music. But its finally set in that I am living my dreams and doing with all my closest friends from Toronto. I wake up and never know what to expect from any given day but good or bad I always learn something from it. I have decided that I am going to push “It’s Never Enough” and focus completely on delivering Take Care to you all. I feel like my mind is truly ready to make this next album NOW and I don’t want that feeling to escape me. My mother is doing well for all who have been asking. She went to her first swimming class the other day and won gold…not really but you know what I mean. OVO gang is all smiles and 40 is making some of the best music I have heard in my entire career. I am in the airport right now headed to LA to meet up with Boi 1da tonight. Its all feeling right. Its truly been a pleasure to speak again. Thank you for all your energy. Soon. Guidance. A luxury once enjoyed becomes a necessity. I need it to last until I’m part of the past. |

Via Rap-Up.com: Drake has found success in TV and music, but could movies be the next frontier? The actor-turned-rapper is in negotiations to star in the financial thriller Arbitrage alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest names. According to showbiz website TheWrap, Nicholas Jarecki (The Outsider) is writing and directing the indie film, which follows a hedge fund magnate who tries to sell his shady trading empire to the bank before his fraudulent ways are exposed. But a costly mistake forces him to turn to the most unlikely corner for help in protecting him from rivals. Other actors attached to the project include Al Pacino, Susan Sarandon, and Eva Green. Production is scheduled to commence in March in New York. The Canadian star rose to fame playing Jimmy Brooks in the teen drama “Degrassi: The Next Generation.” Arbitrage would mark his second appearance on the big screen following a small role in the 2007 film Charlie Bartlett. |

Complex.com: 2010 was an amazing year for Drake. He dropped his platinum debut album, Thank Me Later, scored a gang of Top 40 hits, and solidified his spot as the best and brightest young talent in hip-hop. But if there’s one persistent claim that’s dogged him this year, it’s the one hip-hop purists (read: haters) always seem to make: Drake can’t rap. But it’s a claim that we’ve always found to be completely bizarre, because despite his heartthrob status and inclination to sing, that boy can spit! It’s always better to show than to tell, so to prove our point we went through all of his verses and picked The 25 Best Drake Verses of 2010.
